There’s an old Japanese proverb about 3 wise monkeys – or mystic apes. They embody the principle to ‘see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil. It’s all to do with being of good mind, speech and action and in the West is often used to refer to those who turn a blind eye to bad and naughty things.
After watching the TV series Breaking Bad, Pete Woo made his own interpretation of the wise monkeys who in this scenario don’t see, hear or speak no evil, but rather ‘don’t sell, buy or cook no evil’. The evil in this case being crystal meth!
