I had two small shows of vintage vernacular photography this year. Tiny galleries in heritage locations were chosen and, with small sized frames, it was a suitable first outing for the collection.
Red Gallery’s pop-up space in Kalk Bay designed a display that used one wall and included vintage furniture for context.
New Heritage Gallery has literally the tiniest gallery in town, with red walls its really intimate, all the better for getting up close with the images and doing a bit of time travel to the 1950s and 1960s.
